Privacy Policy

Welcome to Thameen, your gateway to a prestigious network of luxury buyers. We are committed to providing a seamless selling experience, ensuring you maximize the benefits of our platform.

Thameen Platform LLC, a legally registered entity in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under CR No. 1010689014, with its registered office at short national address RAYC3998 (referred to as "Thameen," "we," "our," or "us"), establishes these Terms of Sale ("Terms" or "Agreement") to govern the relationship between Thameen and you, the seller (referred to as the "Seller," "you," or "your"). By registering as a seller and using our online platform—accessible at www.thameenapp.com for listings and www.mythameen.com for the full shopping experience (collectively, the "Platform" or "Marketplace")—you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Introduction

Sellers on Thameen must adhere to strict ethical and legal standards. Listing or selling fake, counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise illegal items is strictly prohibited. Additionally, all sellers must comply with local regulations, including Islamic guidelines and public policy rules. You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of product descriptions, pricing, and images, and Thameen is not liable for any misrepresentations or inaccuracies in your listings. Direct communication with buyers is not permitted—all inquiries must go through Thameen’s Customer Success Team, and sellers are required to respond to Thameen’s requests within 24 hours. To maintain pricing fairness, Thameen reserves the right to request price adjustments or remove listings that do not align with market standards. Repeated violations may lead to account suspension or termination.

Eligibility & Registration

To become a seller on Thameen, you must be a legally registered business operating within the Authorized Territories and aligned with our approved product categories. All sellers must complete a Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification process, which requires providing valid legal registration documents, listing only authentic (new or pre-owned) luxury items within Thameen’s approved categories, and ensuring the accuracy of all submitted information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Upon successful registration, sellers gain access to a dedicated seller dashboard to upload and manage listings. Thameen reserves the right to accept or reject registration applications at its discretion and may request additional information or documentation as necessary.

Listing & Product Requirements

All products must be listed manually through the seller dashboard, providing accurate details, including product descriptions, images, authenticity certificates, purchase invoices, and warranty cards (if available). Prohibited and restricted items include counterfeit goods, stolen items, products that violate Islamic guidelines or public opinion, adult content, items promoting sexual activity or smoking, and any items misaligned with Thameen’s platform overview. Thameen reserves the right to remove listings that violate these guidelines or local regulations. By creating a product listing, you confirm that all provided information is accurate and up to date, that you have the rights to use all images and content, and that you grant Thameen a royalty-free license to use this material for marketing or promotional purposes. While no pre-listing verification is conducted, Thameen periodically reviews listings for alignment and pricing consistency. Once an order is placed, the item must pass an authenticity and quality inspection at Thameen’s facility before final shipment to the buyer.

Fees & Commission

Thameen applies a Service Fee (commission) on each successful transaction, with the exact percentage disclosed in your seller dashboard. However, your first three (3) transactions are commission-free. Payments are securely processed through Thameen’s escrow account, and payouts are released to your designated account once the buyer confirms receipt or after a specified confirmation period. If you are VAT-registered and provide a valid VAT Certificate, Thameen will collect the VAT amount from the buyer on your behalf and transfer it to you in full. The commission is deducted from the net sale price, excluding VAT. As a seller, you remain solely responsible for complying with all tax reporting obligations in your jurisdiction.

Shipping & Logistics

Thameen manages shipping and delivery through trusted third-party logistics providers (3PLs). Once an order is accepted, you are required to promptly drop off the item at a Thameen-approved shipping provider for processing.

The order flow follows these steps:

  1. The buyer places an order and completes payment.

  2. You, the seller, confirm availability and prepare the item.

  3. The item is delivered by you to our designated logistics partner or drop-off location to be shipped to our facility for inspection.

  4. Upon arrival at Thameen’s facility, the item undergoes an inspection and authenticity check.

  5. If the item passes inspection, it is shipped to the buyer. If it fails, it is returned to you at your expense, and additional fees or penalties may apply (see Seller Obligations & Code of Conduct).

Shipping costs are either covered by Thameen’s commission or paid by the buyer at checkout, depending on the specifics of the order. Sellers do not incur direct shipping fees, as they are either included in the commission structure or displayed to the buyer.

To ensure protection during transit, Thameen covers shipping insurance. In case of damage:

  • While in Thameen’s facility, Thameen assumes full responsibility.

  • While in transit, liability falls on the shipping company under their insurance coverage.

The estimated delivery time to the buyer is 5–7 working days from the date the seller accepts the order, provided the item successfully clears inspection.

Auctions

Timed Auctions
Sellers may list items in a Timed Auction format, setting the reserve price, opening bid, bidding increments, and auction duration. If the reserve price is not met by the auction’s end, the item is withdrawn, and no sale is completed.

Bidder Requirements & Insurance
To participate, buyers/bidder must accept an insurance hold through their stored credit card,, an amount set by the seller to deter non-serious bidding. If the buyer wins the auction, the hold is applied toward the final sale price. If they lose, the hold is refunded immediately. However, if a buyer is found to be engaging in troll bidding—placing bids with no genuine intent to purchase—the held amount will be retained to Thameen as a penalty.

Buyer Default
The winning bidder must complete the remaining payment within 24–48 hours of the auction closing. Failure to do so results in the forfeiture of the insurance hold, and the product remains in the seller’s custody, available for immediate re-listing.

Returns & Refunds

All returns are governed by Thameen’s Return Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Buyers typically have three (3) days from delivery to request a return. Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis by Thameen’s Customer Success Team, and sellers agree to abide by Thameen’s final decision. Returned items must be in their original condition and meet the criteria outlined in the Return Policy. In certain cases, buyers may be responsible for return shipping costs.

Authenticity & Inspection

After a buyer places an order, the item must be shipped to Thameen’s facility for authenticity and quality inspection. If the item passes inspection, it is forwarded to the buyer; if it fails, it is returned to the seller at their own expense. Should an item be deemed counterfeit or misrepresented, the seller will be responsible for payment processing fees (approx. 1.6% of order value), freight insurance (approx. 2%), round-trip shipping costs (~SAR 100 x 2), and a penalty fee (SAR 150). Additionally, sellers receive a strike/warning for each failed authenticity check, with three (3) strikes resulting in blacklisting from the platform. Thameen provides buyers with a lifetime authenticity guarantee, meaning that if a buyer later proves an item is inauthentic, the seller must fully cooperate in issuing a refund and indemnifying Thameen against any related claims.

Thameen’s liability is limited to the commission fees received from your transactions in the one (1) month preceding the claim. Under no circumstances shall Thameen be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or data, even if the possibility of such damages was anticipated.

Thameen’s failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right. Additionally, any provisions that should naturally survive termination, including those related to indemnification and liability limitations, shall remain in effect even after account closure or termination.
